2018 - Snowy Hearts Intertwined Valentine

In early 2018 a strong winter weather system brought Cary, NC a wild white wonderland. My wife and I snuggled up to watch many, many, many white puffy snowflakes fall lazily down, down, down outside our home's windows. (Click on photos)

The QUIET was AWESOME and so VERY STILL outside!

We were also enjoying the extra "winter emergency" provisions we bought in food stores and brought into our cozy place the day before. At the NC Governor's personal request, we did not want to drive out into the snow and dangerous ice for the next several days. At my wife's suggestion, I took a series of photos of the peaceful scene outside.

"Good walls make for good neighbors" .....

The snow emphasized the darkness of the man-made wall between us and our nearest neighbor. "Good walls make for good neighbors", I hear. Even in winter, it would appear.

The snow blanketed ALL the trees, bushes, grassy lawn, and other non-vertical surfaces with a vanilla ice cream cone effect.

A look out our open garage door confirmed that we were experiencing a true "Snow Sunami" in our neighborhood! Thick coatings of snow were everywhere I looked and photographically captured!

Then my neighbor appeared suddenly in front of my camera, effectively leashed to his young black dog. The dog's "biological break" stop was obviously necessary. And I was reminded to watch out for "yeller snow".

When I came back inside to electric warmth, my wife urged me to look out our back porch door to see a scene of two heart-shaped figures intertwined in a loving, connected embrace.

As would be expected with such hearts, several long, Cupid-like arrows appeared to have been shot into and through the hearts!

Curiously, the figures had just been made by a Jeep Cherokee van much like the one parked in the photo - but pure white in color. It was just passing by but turned into a snow-covered parking lot slot. Then after idling several minutes, it backed out to return the way it had come. I doubt the driver knew what had been drawn on the snowy ground. HOW DID HE DO IT?

Voila! It was a special, early 2018 Valentine for my wife and me. We had just celebrated our 49th Anniversary of our First Meeting on a Blind Date to go spelunking (caving) with friends not far from our back-in-the-day University of Florida apartments!

But our BIG question remains: WHO commissioned this surprising, romantic, early Valentine message - just for us - just outside our home - today? Only our GOOD HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Folks!
