2007 - GOIN' FISHIN'

Fishin' Rocks !

Just a fine Fall fishin' day in 2007 on the Intercostal Waterway in St. Johns, Florida!

One lone fisherman sits by the shoreline on his Igloo ice chest resting on the big rocks. He loads his hook with a juicy little bait shrimp. Soon he will be real-reel-relaxed, wetting his baited hook, watching for his bouncing bait bobber's downward motion, all the while fully anticipating a good fresh fish supper to come splashing right over to him in "final surrender". A more experienced "lure lover" spreads his full entourage of fishing gear on a table on the shoreline dock. His shoes and socks are already off to maximize his foot relaxation.

Two fishin' tool boxes, a ball cap, fishin' line, lures, hooks, bobbers, a tape measure to document just how big was the "one who didn't get away", a portable radio, and a bottle of hand sanitizer (so his wife will let him back into his house tonight) - all his required and fully tested fishin' tools are now ready to handle any monster whale that dares to strike his line!

Fishin' Boat "Toy" Lust

A guy in a red fishin' hat had already cast his baited hook in the water off the dock. His BFB (Best Fishin' Buddy) was getting ready to fish off the dock, too.

But then the red hat guy saw a nice freshwater fishin' boat "toy" floating in the middle of the waterway with an empty swiveling, fishin' chair maybe soon available for SOMEONE else (like him) to possibly enjoy.

Obviously this guy knows the bigger better biting bass are hiding way out there. I could easily read his face and body language - pure jealous desirous lust to be fishin' in or maybe even owning a beautiful fresh water, fishin' boat just like that one - with a gas-powered outboard motor AND a battery-powered-trolling motor hung on the fishin' boat's stern and bow.

So, once again, apparently some folks believe "all it takes is more money to be more happy" - only a little more discretionary cash for "toys" to be a whole lot happier - even when you are only just "Goin' Fishin' "!
