2007 - GOIN' FISHIN'
by J. R. Beatty
One lone fisherman sits by the shoreline on his Igloo ice chest resting on the big rocks. He loads his hook with a juicy little bait shrimp. Soon he will be real-reel-relaxed, wetting his baited hook, watching for his bouncing bait bobber's downward motion, all the while fully anticipating a good fresh fish supper to come splashing right over to him in "final surrender". (Click on photos)
Two fishin' tool boxes, a ball cap, fishin' line, lures, hooks, bobbers, a tape measure to document just how big was the "one who didn't get away", a portable radio, and a bottle of hand sanitizer (so his wife will let him back into his house tonight) - all his required and fully tested fishin' tools are now ready to handle any monster whale that dares to strike his line!
But then the red hat guy saw a nice freshwater fishin' boat "toy" floating in the middle of the waterway with an empty swiveling, fishin' chair maybe soon available for SOMEONE else (like him) to possibly enjoy.
So, once again, apparently some folks believe "all it takes is more money to be more happy" - only a little more discretionary cash for "toys" to be a whole lot happier - even when you are only just "Goin' Fishin' "!
